Instagram might have deleted your account for a range of reasons. But the worst of them is deleting by mistake.

For example, if you’re selling or promoting outlawed products or advocating violence and hate speech. In such a case, you usually receive a warning notification from the app informing you that your account is getting deleted. And you may be allowed to send an appeal via your Instagram account.
So, the reason for the deletion of your account has to be one of the two:
- Promotion of illegal activities or content that goes against the community guidelines
- By some kind of mistake
And if its a mistake on their part then you have a good chance of getting it back.
But it is crucial to note that if you have permanently deleted your account manually, then you will not be able to recover it.
How to Retrieve my account?
If Instagram has deleted your account by mistake and for reason the you can surely get your account back. So, in order to bring back your account, just follow the steps below.
- First you need to go to the Instagram’s Help Centre and fill a form under “My Instagram account has been deactivated”
- In the next step, select the option “YES” or “NO” depending on the nature of your account. If yours is a business account then select “YES” if not, the respond in the negative.
- You will then have to give in your Name, Username, Email address and your country.
- After completing the entire form, click on “SEND“
Once you’ve done all of the above, you need to be patient. Instagram takes a few hours to check and get back to you.
Meanwhile do not fill the form again or any other related forms.
How long does it take to get your account deleted?
It takes 30 days for Instagram to permanently delete your account. Instagram deletes your account permanently only if you have requested the action. And Instagram always inform the user before deletion process.
Even if the account has been unused and inactive for a long time, Instagram does not take the initiative to delete that account. It requires your consent top delete your account.
Instagram can only disable your account for violating the guidelines. Deactived account does not mean deleted. So do not panic, in that case we can get the account restored.
But once you’ve manually deleted your account from the “Delete your account page” you will not be able to get it back
