Have you been experiencing trouble accessing your locked Snapchat account?
Has your Snapchat account been locked? Some users have had this problem too.
And luckily there is a solution to log back into your Snapchat account.
The error message that you get might look something like this: “Oh no! Your account has been temporarily locked”.
This error message may mean that your account has been locked for the next 24 hours. However, after the 24 hours are up you will be let back in if you log in.
But if you have tried after 24 hours and are still unable to log into your account, try this guide step-by-step.
1. Visit the Support website
Go to Snapchat’s support page called My Account is Locked.
On this page, Snapchat states the reasons why your account might have been locked. And it also says how you can try and unlock it.
Unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t provide a service where you can call for customer support.
The second option on the page will give you a choice saying “Unlock your account”.
Click on Unlock your account. You will then be taken to Snapchat’s login page.
Login to your Snapchat account to unlock your locked account.
2. Log in
When you click Unlock your account, you’ll be redirected to the login page.
There is also another link that was created for accounts that have been locked for a long time. This is the link: https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/login?continue=https%3A%2F%2Faccounts.snapchat.com%2Faccounts%2Funlock
Give in your username or email and type in your password.
Nevertheless, this will not unlock your account, instead, you’ll land on another page where there will be an option to unlock your account.
3. Let’s Unlock
So, when you log in, you will enter a page to unlock your account.
This page includes a big yellow button that says: “Unlock”.
But before you click on that button to unlock. The page clearly states that you are required to uninstall any third-party applications that you might have downloaded.
However, many a time, people install third-party apps or extensions that relate to Snapchat. This might be one of the reasons for the deletion or blockage of your account.
Once you delete these apps, go back and close/ force close your Snapchat app.
Then log back into your Snapchat account. And you must be able to access your account easily without any hurdles!
